Hehe. I am the same way! A recent multi-cache was near a national preserve, so very wooded, but the starting point was a church with a lot of open ground with woods surrounding it. I found the first part, a historic marker, and set off to find the new coordinates. The north put me into the woods pretty quick, but I had quite a bit east to go. Instead of coming back out into the safe clearing of the church, I trudged just feet away through the thick woods, climbing over logs, going through thorns, and spotting numerous snakes. A smarter person probably wouldn't have risked themselves like that, but I loved it :)
